Help everyone!
can any recommend a good (safe) child bike seat for a 10 month old and a 2.5 year old?

Thank you in advance.

This thread is a little old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for a bike seat for your DC, we’ve recently updated our best child bike seats article with lots of great options, as tried and tested by Mumsnet users. We hope you find it useful. Flowers

Nope. But take a look at Two Wheeling Tots www.twowheelingtots.com/

and Cycle Sprog www.cyclesprog.co.uk

These are the two best sites ever for everything baby and child bike related. They are always my first point of reference/ research for any cycling purchases for DS.

I use a Burley Solo trailer which DS has been in since 5 months as it suited our needs best. If I had a second I’d upgrade to a Burley D’Light (2 seater version). He’s 3 now and I’ve just splashed out on a kids ride shotgun for him (both DP and I do a fair amount of mountain biking so this looked ideal, I was torn between the Shotgun and the Mac Ride). The upfront seats claim to be suitable from age 2... so you could have a rear seat for 10 month old and 2 year old up front. It depends on the type/ length of riding you plan on doing for an upfront seat to work.

There's a FB group Cycling with Families or similar which is very good.

We had a Hamax Sleepy about this age and ours was second hand; it did two DCs (one from 10mo - 2 when DC2 arrived and one from about 1y-just over 4 though I was struggling and she is quite titchy!), and then I sold it on as it was still in good working condition!

We had a weeride although DD was more like 12/13 months I think. It goes in front of the adult seat rather than behind, so you can keep an eye on them

I don't think a Weeride would last till they are very old.
If you are flinging your leg over the back to get on (I have a step through) though, it might be easier.

We still use the weeride and my daughter is 3. My husband has to have it as in to short to reach over her though so I suppose it depends on build of parent and child.

Yeah, I don't think I'd have been able to reach the handlebars with a weeride.
