Hello, can anyone recommend some good walking socks please? Maybe something padded in the toe/ball of the foot region?

Thanks!

I got some lovely merino wool walking socks from go outdoors. I'm sure it was their own brand. They have 2 layers to prevent blisters.

Bridgedale are the only socks I buy. Expensive but worth it and they last years

Thanks both, I will take a look at these 2 options!

Bridgedale, without a doubt the best. I have the light weight for day to day and summer and heavier for wearing with hiking boots in the winter.

DH mocked until he tried them and now he won't wear anything else either. Cotswold Outdoor often have good deals on them.

Hilly twin skins . It’s like someone is holding your feet when you walk. Also helps with blisters. I find most Bridgedales too hot in summer, though I do have a bamboo pair but they don’t support your feet like the twin skins. I sometimes change socks when walking all day too
