Any recommendations please? I'm steering towards Apple but not loving the price. I want some that are good quality and don't fall out of my ears when I'm running....

these are meant to be good for running since they hook over your ears, making it hard for them to fall out.

I love my Aftershokz titanium. They are bone conduction and sit just in front of the ear rather than in them - I always have trouble with in ear ones slipping out. I just put them on and go, no fiddling about. The sound is good and so long as you don't turn them up to max you can hear traffic, cyclists etc which is great for safety.

I like my Airpods, but my DH didn't. He prefers ones that hook over and into your ears. I think he wears the Beats Powerbeats ones now,

Thanks everyone 😊

Aftershockz Titanium. I have the mini size which lots of people seem to get on with better (I have a normal sized head though). Really really good.

KedsAndTubeSocks · 27/05/2020 15:32

@evilharpy apologies, just found this thread. Do you think the Afterschokz would be suitable for someone who wears glasses? Or would the over-ear bit be uncomfortable? What's the difference between standard and mini? Is it just the size of the wire bit?
TIA

I wear glasses and use the Titanium bone conduction and they work really well

nbee84 · 27/05/2020 16:15

I wear sunglasses with mine - no issues at all. I have the mini ones and unless you had a huge head they'd be find for most women.

Another vote for aftershokz. Can't be without mine. I even wear them when I'm at home now, so I don't disturb my children with my unacceptable music tastes

concernedforthefuture · 29/05/2020 10:02

Love my Aftershokz. I bought them for running as I live rurally and so run in lanes (no footpath) where I need to be able to listen out for cars. I also use them pottering around the house listening to podcasts and keeping an ear out for the kids trying to kill each other.

familygermsareok · 31/05/2020 22:22

Agree Aftershokz or similar bone conducting ones - safer than in ear ones as you can hear external noise too. And if you are thinking of doing any running events or races in the future most ban any in ear headphones but still allow bone conducting ones.

A daft question. I’m about to start exercising (walking and running) for first time in 15 years!! Where do you put your phone/ iPod? Sorry, never done this before, nor worn headphones 😁

normalpeeps · 31/05/2020 23:00

With the Aftershockz Titanium can you control your music i.e. skip a track?

LeGrandBleu · 01/06/2020 03:19

@Goodmum1234 I wear a very thin belt and put phone and keys in it. Mine is a spibelt , very thin, ultra light and it doesn't move when I run or even jump.

concernedforthefuture · 01/06/2020 06:33

@normalpeeps Yes - you can play / pause / skip tracks or answer / reject phone calls etc.

concernedforthefuture · 01/06/2020 06:34

@Goodmum1234 I have a FlipBelt

Toddlerteaplease · 01/06/2020 06:38

Bose soundsport are fab. The fit firmly in and won't fall out. Really easy to use and great sound.

BikeRunSki · 01/06/2020 06:44

Another vote for Aftershokz. I wear glasses, no problem, had a ponytail, no problem. Earbud/AirPod things always fall out of my ears.

Thank you
