Turns out Tai Chi is really hard, what exercise have you been trying out of boredom?

I like tai chi but it turns out that I can’t remember even quite short sequences. I’ve kept dumbing down until I’ve found my level (for the elderly) and now I’m doing a really short one twice a day. I still can’t remember any of it by myself but the nice man on YouTube speaks nice and slowly. 😄.

I've never tried Tai Chi - it always looks so restful! But I have tried QinGong and I found it really difficult!

But I've loved experimenting with Bollywood HIIT

I’ve never thought of trying tai chi.

Yoga isn’t easy I’ve discovered. I have absolutely no sense of balance. Which apparently is important in yoga

I do like Tai Chi, it's lovely and flowy and I find it chills me out. I think I have very poor muscle memory or something as I need to have someone talking me through it every time. The think that I didn't like about yoga is that it's really tough on the knees, I have bad knees and it's painful to kneel or to put too much twist on them.

I'm going to have a look at Bollywood HIIT. My DC already think I'm weird so a bit of Bollywood can't make things any worse.

I’ve gone back to Pilates a year after having my baby and my god it’s harder than it used to be. So worth it, the aching must mean it’s doing something and I’ve started with a short easy routine so I stick with it and I have, but ouch.

I found with tai chi the trick was to only focus on learning and practising a max of about nine counts each week, sometimes only three. So just learn the very first little bit and spend the week repeating it until you do remember, then add the next little bit and spend another week repeating your slightly longer sequence. Etc etc.

It looks so simple until you try!
