Fitbit Ionic or another sport watch?

I'm thinking of getting a sport/smart watch. I love the sound of the Fitbit Ionic but am put off by the fact you can't use Spotify with it.
I want to use it as an activity tracker, to help me with plans to take up running & swimming & so that I don't need my phone in the gym.
Any suggestions?

I went with the Garmin Vivoactive 3 music. Impressed so far!

I've got a Garmin venu (having switched from FitBit) and love it. I use it for strength training and running. It's got built in GPS and can save music to it so I don't need to take my phone running (or drain its battery when I do). It also doesn't look like a typical chunky rubbery sports watch so don't feel like it's out of place in the office!

@Talulahoopla when gyms are back open I'll be using it for that instead of taking phone for music.
Re strength training do just record your strength train for do what the watch suggests?
And agreed-I like the look of it too. And I like the period tracker Daffodil

Not sure Garmin can provide workouts. I've never done it but you can programme your own workout in to it and it leads you through it with videos and reps on the watch face. I don't do that though and just use it on more of a basic setting for counting reps and weight. It counts the reps and intensity automatically when you turn the strength training activity on on and it's pretty accurate. Calorie count also seems to be accurate compared to my Fitbit which was a bit hit or miss. I'm definitely not using all the functions it has. Haven't used the period tracker but only because I've got another app for that. You can read texts, emails and WhatsApp messages and it also has a safety/emergency alert function which is good for out running. Definitely recommend it. I get loads of compliments about how good it looks as well.

I've had both the ionic and vivoactive 4s. I preferred the display on the ionic app for general health and activity tracking and the battery life was better but the vivoactive is much better for tracking running, has Spotify and seems to be more reliable build quality (I had two ionic and both died at less than 2 years old)

I've got he Vivoactive 4s. The running coach feature has been amazing for me as I always had aspirations to follow a training plan, but had nothing to keep me to it. Now it tells me what I'm going to do that day, guides me through it, and beeps at me if I'm not in the right zone for different things

Mu Ionic did everything beautifully but has just died on me at 16 months. Thinking of getting a Garmin now.
