Help not losing weight

New to exercise. I got an I watch for Christmas and since then I have aimed to move more, incorporate small jogs, short runs, walk more and do YouTube exercises at home. I've been burning 700 calories a day but not seen any weight loss! I've been watching quite healthily but not changed it too drastically. I expected to see a little weight loss by now.

Any advice? Surely 700 calories should be a positive move and worth doing. I'm enjoying it but getting discouraged

That was based on putting food information into the FitBit app. It calculates the macros for you. There were some unrecognised calories yesterday, though.

In fact for 1000 cals, assuming 58g of carbohydrates are eaten you could then easily eat 124.5g of protein and 30g of fat.

1000 calories is not totally unworkable in terms of getting enough protein, fat, plenty of vegetables and a few grains for someone my size and (lean) body weight.

I seem to be weighing 4 lb less than. Monday. I've been trying to eat sensibly and have the odd little treat but kept up with the hiit exercise. Someone at work mentioned it will be water loss (?). I'm enjoying the hiit so keeping on with that for now

Excellent! It could be water loss in the sense that often when you first lose fat your body temporarily fills the fat cells with water which then is lost later quite suddenly. So it looks like a sudden weight loss. People who plot their weight on graphs notice these sudden dips!

Thanks. I think the main thing is I am back into enjoying hiit workouts. Not sure how often I should do them but 2 years ago I lost over a stone by doing hiit 6days a week. Loved it. Then hurt my foot and gave up and the weight rolled on.

Veryvery you sound super healthy Smile Amazing! X

Thanks, very kind of you to say so. I'm not really that remarkable, though. I found running is largely about having the correct technique, once you've cracked that it's not difficult, pretty enjoyable, really. So not difficult to do every day. The food is easy too, once your system evens out and is used to burning fat you really don't get hunger pangs in the same way. And my 'diet' is just a matter of cutting down on portion size, adding more green veg or salad and not eating between meals. Smile
