How do you shower after?

I always wear contacts when out of the house. I'm following a post op rehab program and at the moment I drive to physio, drive back and shower at home. But DH has a new job and is taking the car in Jan so I will have to go by bus. And my physio wants me to do two extra training sessions in the gym in between physio. Apart from the fact that doing a 2.5 hour trip to spend 10 minutes in the gym seems ridiculous, how do you manage contacts, showering and getting home again?

I never wear mine in the shower because of the amoeba thing , I know it’s rare but I’m very short sighted and don’t want to comfort my eyesight any further

I just shower with mine in, never had a problem.

It’s so hideous an idea to me (and the pictures look so sore and disfiguring) that a 1 in 10,000 chance for me is too great to take! I appreciate it’s very low odds, tho!

I must admit I've become paranoid about that amoeba infection and my dd told me about a young guy we know who has reduced vision due to contacts (not sure why)

I don’t swim with mine because of the amoeba thing.
Showering is usually fine though.

Always wear contacts in the shower. I know it's an infection risk but I've managed it for 20 years so I feel ok about it.
I do wear daily disposable but the advice is the same. Never lost one in the shower yet!
