Fitness pool

I've always dreamed of having a pool and thought that we might eventually be able to afford an above ground fitness type pool with a current to swim against.

Does anyone have one and are the fab or a total waste of time and money?

We have an inground full size pool. It’s relatively straight forward to maintain but we live in a country that has glorious long, hot summers. I’m not sure I’d be quite so enamored if the maintenance was measured compared to how much use you’d get from it in British summertime.

We have a 25 metre pool in our garden.
It was just installed this spring , sadly closed up for winter.
Very easy to maintain.
Spent a fortune on a solar panel heating system but worth every penny.
We have a back up electric heater too.
Easy to maintain.
We have swim jets installed ( same as an exercise pool ) we use it for hydrotherapy for our 2 disabled DC.
Best investment I've made in a long time.
We had use out of it from the start of April till the 31st of October.
Previously had a pool when we lived in a warmer country and missed it a lot.
We've built a lovely decking area for sitting/ sunbathing / entertaining.
Still need to do some landscaping and purchase a fold back dome so it can be used all year in the spring but I'd recommend it.
Great exercise and lots of fun.
You can get lovely wooden above ground pools .
Friends have a huge one.
We considered it but went for a fibreglass in ground pool.
