I need new gym-wear. Any recommendations for where to get it from? I looked at some in M&S the other day but really didn't like the feel of the fabric.

Most of mine is from Decathlon. I’m generally emblazoned from rain cap to socks with ‘Kalenji’.

Weathergirl1 · 30/07/2019 07:22

TKMaxx - they have lots of sports labels reduced as they're last season's colours - this doesn't bother me!

LaurieFairyCake · 30/07/2019 07:36

Really annoyingly I've found Lululemon and Sweaty Betty are the best for fabric and fit

So I've been buying them second hand from eBay for £12/20/32 as there's no way I'm paying £85 for a pair of leggings

My favourite is these lululemon grey ones

I stay near a Nike outlet so everything is from there. More than happy with it, never suffered from rubbing during long runs.

helpmum2003 · 30/07/2019 07:43

Sweaty Betty in the sale. It's very flattering and comfortable. eBay is a good idea.

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 30/07/2019 07:43

Tops from whatever freebie t-shirt I have had in the past, or some cheap technical ones off ebay.

Bottoms from www.sturdybydesign.com

Trainers are a NB style I have found perfect for my feet so I hunt high and low for new/unboxed online and buy extra pairs whenever I see them as they are normally £70-80+

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 30/07/2019 07:43

I just get mine from sports direct.

AFistfulofDolores1 · 30/07/2019 07:52

www.fabletics.co.uk - love 'em! Great leggings with a pocket for a phone; well structured and made; good fabrics and lots of support - and high waists if you want them.

AGnu · 30/07/2019 10:06

Amazing, thanks for all the ideas! I think I'll start with a trip to TK Maxx - we have one not too far away.

I've had some really good stuff from TKMaxx

Decathlon is probably my 'go to' shop though

MangoFeverDream · 30/07/2019 14:59

Lululemon for sure, they are fab secondhand (and many think the older stuff is better quality than the new stuff they sell now)

carrie74 · 30/07/2019 21:28

Sweaty Betty now (always in the sale or on eBay), as it's so consistently good, I especially love their leggings which don't need tugging up every time I bend down.

I used to do very well in Gap, especially with their regular 40/50% off sales.

Pinkarsedfly · 30/07/2019 21:29

Wiggle.com

Their own brand, dhb, make excellent running tights.

AllGoodDogs · 31/07/2019 11:56

I've just bought a couple pairs of running leggings from M&S, I have some cotton tshirts from past events and a technical one from my old running club. My new Brooks trainers came this morning from Sutton Runners online as they were cheaper than anywhere else.

SudowoodoVoodoo · 01/08/2019 07:20

Decathlon. Cheap, chearful and finctional.
I get some more niche brands at a fitness conference each year.

Beware of Fabletics, a lot of people get stung because it's a subscription whether you buy gear or not and you have to manually suspend the payment in good time if you don't want gear that month.

Doodleoodleday · 01/08/2019 07:35

Sweaty Betty leggings are great. They have good sales so get them then. I love fabletics too it's a faff but buy the leggings then cancel the subscription. At the beginning you can get two for £24 which is amazing. I used to wear gym vests but not I often just wear normal h&m ones

ememem84 · 01/08/2019 07:38

Gym shark are fab! Expensive but they do have some really good sales (up to 70% off type sales) although you can’t be too picky with colours etc in these sales.

I also rate lululemon and sweaty Betty but agree re sales or eBay.

TooMinty · 01/08/2019 07:40

H&M usually but my sister treated me to Sweaty Betty for my birthday and it's lovely, got a bamboo vest with integral support for yoga, so comfy Smile

NotAgainKen · 01/08/2019 07:41

Sweaty Betty leggings (in the sale) - I bought a pair last year, wash them twice weekly and they still look brand new.

Tops from Gap Fit or Sainsbury's or TKMaxx.

Rystall · 01/08/2019 08:22

Sweaty Betty, GAP and Stella McCartney (Adidas). For running though nothing will ever beat Nike running tights.

sleepwhenidie · 01/08/2019 08:28

Nike or Sweaty Betty leggings (love lululemon too but sizing is just off for me, I seem to be in between whereas SB and Nike is perfect). SB yoga and stamina bras unless I’m running, in which case, shock absorber. Gap tops, usually the split back ones, which I tie.

I have ancient SB leggings that have been worn and washed over and over and still look great, the quality is superb.

BrassicaBabe · 07/08/2019 20:45

I'm a sweaty Betty and lululemon fan. I swear I spend more on exercise gear than going out clothes Blush

OctopusNow · 07/08/2019 23:50

Primark tbh Blush
