Spin class

I'm booked in for my first spin class this week and I'm wondering what people's thoughts are on it, does it help with weight loss and will it help me loose weight from my legs as they are a problem area for me! I'm calorie counting and going to a PT but they're on holiday at the moment so need something else, and thought I'd give spin ago!

Love spin.
I attend four classes a week, simply because I enjoy it

I've been a couple of times and really enjoyed it. A word of warning though, this could happen in any class I suppose, I was at the back near the speaker and the instructor had the music blasting very loud. I'm not usually sensitive to loud music but on this occasion it just didn't feel right. I now have tinitus. This was over a year ago and the ringing has never stopped. Put me right off classes and I'm even wary of concerts now. I know this sounds extreme and OTT but I just want to warn others. I wish I'd walked out at the time but I didn't want to look like I couldn't do the class! Silly looking back now really.

It's all about the instructor. If they are enthusiastic then the classes will be varied and fun. If not, it will be boring and a waste of time.
