Karrimor walking shoes - any good?

Just that really. I have seen some nice looking walking shoes (not boots) but they seem unusually cheap so I wondered if anyone could shed any light or offer their opinions?
TIA.

I’ve had a couple of pairs and love them. I find them really comfy and easy to break in, and they last a lot longer then you’d expect considering the price.
Karrimor are pretty good if you’ve got wide feet and narrow heels - I’ve struggled in the past to find boots that fit well without moving around and the karrimor boots and shoes both fit snugly but comfortably.

Karrimor walking shoes are my normal non-smart footwear which I use for e.g. walking in the park, on-my-feet-all-day sightseeing etc. They're comfortable, and waterproof within the limitations of being a shoe not a boot.

I'd always wear boots for hillwalking or if there's a lot of mud, but the karrimors are fine for other purposes.

I had a friend who was a serious long distance runner (up to 100K... that's not a typo!) who used karrimor trail shoes.

What for and which ones. My summer boots are karrimor but they are the higher end ones.

If it’s for general fair weather mooching on non challenging terrain and they are comfy and fit then they will be fine. Anything more and I wouldn’t cheap on out footwear.

Karrimor is the Sports Direct own brand. I used to be a manager there, and the quality is inferior to the other walking shoes you'll see, but they are cheaper. If you're a light user, then fine. But if you're going to use them a lot, the extra money for a better pair is worth it.
The savings shown on the price tickets aren't real, because the stuff was never at the higher price in the first place.

Thanks everyone, very helpful comments here.

It's the Tempo 5 trail and also the Tempo 5 road running shoes (down from £80 to £40, allegedly , on the Sports Direct website). I am weighing them up against Asics which is the make I normally go for.

Stick with the Asics!
I swapped a pair of old Asics for new KM, and regretted it. The comfort and support you're used to will be missing everytime you wear them.

Thanks slarty you have convinced me !
