Decent but inexpensive hybrid bike

Now that DD is on two wheels I'm keen to start cycling again - something I've not done for years.

I do have an almost new cheap Halfords bike in the shed but the tyres are flat and on investigation is a known issue with the wheel spokes being too long and constantly puncturing the tyres so I don't think it can be saved! From memory it cost about £75 5 years ago so the cost of new tyres would be more than the bike!

I'm not looking to spend more than about £200 as there is still a risk that I will lose interest again.

Is it possible with my budget to get something decent - happy with second hand!

£75 is a very cheap quality bike.
How tall are you? I will browse Ebay options. Helpful if you don't mind naming your nearest large city, too.
The Halford's Pendleton series are not terrible for about that price, & Evans too (Pinnacle line?)

I have a Trek hybrid bike from about 10 years ago, approx £400 new, you might pick one up second hand. It's great, no punctures, gears & setup good for my height. It's been a loyal bike thus far....

I’ve got a ridgeback one that is 15 years old. It’s bombproof. You might end up spending a bit over £200 but it’s worth it for something that lasts.
