Cross trainer

The cross trainer is the only bit of gym equipment I like. Managed to acquire one and I haven’t been to the gym for five years. Can doing 15/20 minutes a night as well as trying to eat more of a balanced diet actually make a difference in trying to lose a stone and a half?

Exercise burns calories and a cross trainer helps build muscle. Plus eating healthier means your more likely to burn more than consume.

I'm planning on getting a cheap, second hand cross trainer myself plus eating better as I also want to lose weight.

Thanks for the replies, well let’s see what happens! The combination of healthier eating and burning some calories should work. Thank you for your advice.

Doing something is always going to burn more calories than doing nothing. You will need to keep increasing the intensity though over time, as your body gets fitter, it doesn't need to work so hard to do the same thing, so you'd need to increase resistance or time to get the same effect.

It's a great start though, keep it up!

I'm thinking of getting hold of a cross trainer, too. I'm not exactly sure what I should be looking for so any advice is appreciated!

There are lots of cross trainers here, but still thinking about whether to get a treadmill instead?
