Start from scratch exercise plan - but no running or walking!

I'm recovering from injury and am completely unfit as a result. I've been told not to run (& walking is hard because of my injury) so I need to stick to low impact stuff - swimming, cycling etc.

Does anyone have a zero to fitness plan that just focuses on low impact exercise please? Everything I've found focuses on walking and running that are no-gos for me at the moment.

Tia

Can you use a cross trainer?

There's a thread on here somewhere about swimming for fitness.

Yes - cross trainer should be ok, as should swimming.

It's knowing where to start tbh - I'm getting tired easily, but think that if I had a plan to work to I might stand a better chance of sticking to it.

Start by number of lengths? Work your way up. As fitness improves swim against the clock.

If you Google it Nuffield health do a beginner's swimming plan. Plus water aerobics might be very beneficial for strength training whilst being joint supported in the water.

When I was recovering from postnatal SPD, I found aquafit was good for low impact exercise to reduce pressure on my sensitive pelvis.

Pilates/ yoga are good for building up body strength.

Cycling/ exercise bike?
