Could anyone help me find a new type of exercise - have to change what I do post-op

I wonder if anyone could help? I am an unenthusiastic exerciser- have previously done c25k and can still run 5k in a reasonable time, but more recently have joined and enjoyed a weights based gym. I was going 2-3 times a week and have stuck at it longer than anything I've tried previously.
I work ft,2 kids and a shift working dh, so classes at set times are our for me- the appeal of running and weights was that I could squeeze in 45 mins at 2-3 random times a week most weeks.
I have recently had an op to correct an anneuyrism near my spleen. All seems to have gone well but I was advised not to exercise for 6 weeks. I am now feeling flabby and lazy, went back to gp who said I should still be cautious- no abdominal work, absolutely no running because of the impact. I have referred nerve pain in my shoulder so no lifting.
I have no clue what to do! GP suggested brisk walking and I was a bit like ffs - can't imagine doing it without wanting to break into a run, and also it's not really going to have the same impact as what I was doing before.
Can anyone recommend anything that's going to keep me fit/work on regaining lost muscle tone without doing myself a damage?
Thank you!

No running. No abdominal work. No upper limb weights.
Afraid walking it must be.

Could you squeeze in swimming?

Thank you! I did wonder about swimming, I like that. The hours of our local pool are terrible, it's not open before work which is when I'd often go to the gym. But if it's my only option I'll need to get creative somehow.
Walking won't fix my bingo wings SadGrin

It’s only 6 weeks out of “forever”. Do the walking!

Nordic walking.

Walking just for now to lift the spirit. I suppose you could walk with weights if you felt the need for more.

Cycling?

Thank you again all
Sorry I wasn't clear in my 1st post - did nothing for the 6 weeks, I'm now about 8 weeks and still restricted. Have another appointment in a few weeks, maybe I'll get more freedom after that!
