Workouts with a toddler

I have some ideas and I've looked on Pinterest as well but I'm wondering if anyone on here has wise suggestions for working out with a toddler.

What can I do with my 12 month old in tow at the park/playground? I don't have a jogging stroller just a normal one.

Not sure of your fitness levels etc, but how about a weighted vest or wrist and ankle weights, or a couple of kettlebells, and doing weighted lunges, squats, lifts etc while they’re in the stroller or safe on a blanket?

My strength circuits group has some mid morning sessions aimed at parents with kids. They’re based at a park with a cafe, and the kids generally are either in pushchairs or are watched by the group as a whole. They sit together on blankets while the parents (vast majority mums but dads join in too and generally just go heavier on weighted stuff) do shuttle sprints, bidyweight exercises and things with kettlebells and dumb bells. There might be one near you, or maybe a friendly PT who can put something together if there are enough of you interested.

I like the idea of the PT!

I'm bumping this post as I'm still looking for ideas. How do you fit in workouts around a young family? Any good apps or YouTube channels?

Have a look if there are any buggy fit classes in your area. There are quite a few around so you might find something. They are classes in parks where you take the baby/toddler in their pram and work out with other mothers and an instructor.

I've looked and there isn't anything really. I think I might just get up really early and workout before he wakes up....
