Runkeeper Go, worth paying for?

I've used free version for years, offered Runkeeper go half price now $19.99 for the year, is it worth paying for?

I run about 3 times per week.

Have a look at runmeter... I pay for the elite version at about £5 per year...

I think it's about the best app/best value having tried loads over the past few years. It allows you to plan training schedules, set target paces and heart rates as well as all the tracking tools.

Is it the same as the free versions of Mapmyrun or Strava? I find the Strava inline dashboard really good and I haven't upgraded to the paid version

I don't like Strava at all. Will look at Runmeter.

Run keeper basic does splits/elevation/stride/steps per min etc

Can you play your music through it?

I use the free versions of both Runkeeper and Strava (and play music/listen to podcasts separately).

I've got the offer for paid Runkeeper too, and am planning to ihpgnire it, as I'm happy with the functions it has in the free version. I didn't switch completely to Strava because I like the Runkeeper 'pocket track' function which will log longer walks automatically even if you forget to 'start'

I also use ViewRanger for long trail runs where I need a good map to navigate if that helps
