Good trainers for HIIT and exercise classes

Has anyone seen any good deals in the sales on new trainers? I have decent running shoes, but wear a crappy old slightly too small pair of trainers for all the other exercise I do (mostly fitness blender HIIT workouts, some fairly light weights / squats / lunges and the odd body conditioning- type exercise class).

I'm guessing I need crossfit trainers and I've heard good things about Asics but they're quite expensive. I had £100 cash for Christmas - has anyone got any recommendations? Also, where do you buy your sports stuff? I tend to go for decathlon for leggings and tops but I'm not sure if I should spend more for footwear.

I use an old pair of neutral running shoes - Nike Pegasus Zoom- for HIIT classes as they've got enough cushioning to help with landings in jumpy exercise.

For cycling outside, spinning and non impact classes like body pump use a cheap lightweight pair of addidas I picked up for £25 years ago. They are breathable and I can shove them in the washing machine if they get wrecked on a rainy day.

In terms of shops I get my clothes from decathalon. Shoes, I'm more of a runner so I go to running shops to get fitted properly and then buy the brands I know I like in the sales.

Generally for trainers I've found you need a half size or size larger.

I recently bought CrossFit shoes. I found that they come in three broad categories - good all-rounders, skewed towards the weightlifting aspect and skewed towards the agility aspect.

I went for weightlifting ones, as that suits my needs better. They are pretty inflexible, so I now struggle a little with the small amounts of jumping/agility work I do. They are excellent for lifting in though.

If you do a broad range of activities, an all-round CrossFit shoe would be better, or even the ones for better agility if you aren’t lifting heavy weights.

Thanks both. I think agility / running type shoes would be better for me as I'm only lifting light at the moment. I was working out barefoot at home but I'm doing more intensive stuff now and I need support. I have a pair of trail running shoes that I'm using at the moment but they're a bit small - I was gobsmacked when I got fitted for proper running shoes and I was 2 sizes up from normal.
