Online personal training - does it exist?

I don't have the budget at the moment for a regular personal trainer but I'm crap at motivating myself to get through a session in the gym. I know there are online videos but I have a gammy hip so there's always something not suitable in the set. Does anyone know of a tool that I can use to set up a session for myself, or even if there are personal trainers who might put together online programmes?

Yes, I know an amazing personal trainer who offers remote services - Hunt fitness Uk, you can search her on Facebook or I can give you her number if you can't find her, if you wanted of course.

She really is incredible and affordable too.

I think you can use an online coaching service for something like running, eg to get a half marathon plan or whatever. But if you want to do strength and conditioning work you really need someone to watch to make sure you're doing it right, otherwise you could injure yourself.

At the very least I would try to pay for a couple of face to face sessions to learn the techniques for various moves.

I did about a year of cross fit, so I'm pretty confident my technique is good. I went to one of the trainers in the gym for an intro session but he was very much pushing me to use the weights machines which I've found I really hate. I like more compound movements and cross fit style circuits. Maybe I should try the other trainer in the gym for a couple of sessions and see how it turns out. I also want to avoid the seemingly compulsory lectures about diet and supplements. I know all the theory about food, weight and building muscle, but I'm also old enough to know that I want to go to the gym so I can eat more cake, not less Grin
