Anyone want to recommend me a diet and exercise plan or recommend a good place to get them?

Do they do these sort of things when you join a gym? Or is it worth shelling out for a personal trainer?

Have a resolution to up my exercise (was reasonably fit but have done nothing over summer) from September. I should also try to sort out my diet.

I am thin but have a little bit of a tummy which I think is mainly lack is tone. There is lots of the standard eat less and move more on the internet but I would like to GAIN some curves as currently I am straight up and down with a bit of a tummy.

Can I put on a bit of weight (which I usually find very difficult to do whatever I eat, sorry!) while keeping my tummy in check? Would ideally like to go up a dress size, gain some curves or at least the illusion of this and increase fitness.

When I do exercise I run or do videos like 30 day shred. Haven't ruled out joining a gym but cost puts me off.

I figure if I make a plan I might actually get round to doing something in September.

There is a training programme called strong curves (if you google it you'll find it) which aims to give you curves- mainly through weights training.

Alternatively fitness blender has programmes aimed at giving you curves/booty or you can search their free workouts for strength routines.

In terms of a trainer/gym if you don't have/need heavier weights you may want access to a gym and their equipment.

Might also be worth looking on the weight room thread in here as the women there know a lot about this!

I have a cheap gym and an expensive personal trainer. Totally worth it. He advises me on training and nutrition, though he isn't a "nutritionist" per se.

Definitely worth shelling out for the right personal trainer.

I also buy Men's Health magazine quite often, there's a lot of blokes who want to bulk up and so they do a lot of articles about what to eat & how to train. However, technique is everything and a (good) personal trainer will make sure that you're doing it right and are not going to hurt yourself...

Thank you! They sound like good places to start. I did have a look on the weight room thread but felt very inadequate so left Grin.

I have put on a little bit of weight over the summer which made me wonder if I could get a bit curvy but it's just going on my tummy which was not the plan!
