Kettle bells?

Anyone used these? I am thinking of trying them out as I like the idea of cardio as weights at the same time...Can anyone recommend a good intro DVD to using them? What weight should I buy to start?

@Jellybean no worries. I agree about the comment mutation! I probably shouldn't have brought it up without context in the first place (if at all). Hey ho.

I hope you enjoy your classes, op! I learned how to do it at the gym and had so much fun. I'm quite scared to do it at home with my dc around, though....

Kettlebells are fantastic...under supervision. I've recently had a slipped disc which I thought was from poor distance running form but may well have been kettle bell swings. The Osteosurgeon I was referred to (though thank goodness didn't need surgery) told me he's seen a huge surge in the prolapsed discs since the kettle bells became popular. Admittedly he works in a Central London private hospital so sees a lot of alpha personalities who probably swing a weight far too heavy for their ability like me.
