Anyone fancy a lunchtime walking club?

Now the weather is a bit brighter, I am trying to get out for a walk at lunchtime a few times a week.

I am just setting the timer on my phone for ten minutes, heading off and turning around when it goes off. I vary my route but I do try to get a bit further the next time I go the same way.

Anyone fancy joining me for a virtual lunchtime walk?

I am hoping that checking in here will motivate me to get out more regularly... Smile

Wow well done constantcake! I walked a fair bit over the weekend, it really helps when the weather is so lovely. Back to work today and it's a lot colder and gloomy looking so I will need to force myself out I think.

Those of you who walk in a lunch hour, do you take separate footwear to change into? I'm fine at the moment as I wear boots to work which are really comfy, and then in the summer I'm fine in sandals, but we're getting to that in between part of the year where I can never find a pair of shoes that are smart enough for work but comfortable enough to walk in.

Thanks Grin

Friend and I did 3m in the gorgeous sunshine!

Can you take trainers? I would!

I might do that. Was worried they might look a bit funny with work clothes - I don't live in a city where people commute long distances and change footwear like they do in London.

Not been great at getting out this week - well, I got out, but didn't walk as far as usual as had some stuff to do. I will walk home today though (my half day, hooray).

Think you probably need to not worry about what people think...I felt very self concious jogging last night as it was still light.

Whoohoo for half days Wink Hope you had a lovely day. Was gorgeously sunny here.

I didn't get a walk in today but tomorrow DS and I are going to a theme park so will be walking lots and if my legs are up to it, I'm meant to jog for 25 minutes continuously! god help me Might leave that one for a weekend morning...

Hi Tea

I didn't get a walk in on Friday in the end and the last two days have been quite inactive too but I did get my 25 minute jog done last night!

Hitting the theme park tomorrow with 2 smalls and double buggy so that's likely to clock up a few steps Wink

Need to go and run on Tuesday evening.

Had a little walk yesterday and again today. Went out last night and covered 4.5km - half jog and half walking.

How are you doing? Taken trainers in?

TheConstantCakeEater · 17/04/2017 21:18

Anyone been out walking? I haven't done much. Walking the school runs tomorrow, so that's a few miles.

I've done terribly this week due to things like last minute meetings meaning I've not had my full lunch break. But walked loads at the weekend, amazing how many steps you get in with a national trust easter egg hunt! Mind you, ate so much chocolate I really need to walk even more haha!
