Would anyone with a Fitbit be happy to share their resting heart rate?

My Fitbit says my resting heart rate ranges from 63-67 but is normally either 64/65.

I thought that was ok until my friend said he was surprised it was so high Confused

I'm mid 30s and exercise fairly regularly, but I have a desk job which is quite stressful at times and eat too much junk food.

Anyone else happy to share theirs?

Mine's 75, I'm 35, reasonably active and not overweight

nbee84 · 29/01/2016 17:36

Reassuring to see a few higher ones after all the low ones at the start of the thread. Still worried that I'm not particularly fit though Shock Need to up my game a bit I think Grin

low 40's at night 50 after being sat on the sofa for a bit, I'm male though, mind you female DP is lower than me always.

Sorry to interrupt but I've got a flex and its stopped syncing to my phone. Still says 10pm yesterday and won't update my stats for today. Battery on flex is full. Phone has been restarted but still nothing. Any suggestions?

I'm worried about mine too, it's 77 today. Mostly high 70's
I'm 29
Do my 10k steps a day. Go to gym & swimming. Eat ok (ish) and weigh 9 & half stones

Mine ranges between 73-77. I'm late 30s, exercise regularly, healthy weight, eat clean, don't smoke and rarely drink these days. Interestingly I have low blood pressure!

The picture of the satsuma in it tells you all you need to know really.

I have an unusually high resting heart rate - my GP is aware ( although not actually looking into it to find out why it's so high ?! )
If you are worried you could talk to you GP ?!

satsuma resting heart rate.

Higge · 03/02/2016 07:44

Mine is between 48-52. I thought normal was 60 - 80.

Tummyclutter · 03/02/2016 07:59

Anglaise posted a link to an age specific norm at the top of this page.

Anglaise1 · 03/02/2016 09:26

I use a fitbit one and it can't even track my kms properly, I've just run 12kms according to my GPS watch and the fitbit says 10.5kms.
I certainly wouldn't trust it to track my heart rate. I've got one of those little devices you put your finger in which use an electric wave to track both heart rate and oxygen in blood. That is much more accurate.

ThornyBird · 03/02/2016 09:30

Mine is in the 70s, occasionally 80s.

I'm am overweight, 42 and walk for exercise at this time of year.

My heart rate was in the 50-60s when I had undiagnosed hypothyroidism. It's now in the low 70s and I feel much better. I have normal-low blood pressure.

diymania · 03/02/2016 09:40

Mid 40s, exercise pretty regularly, normal bmi

My resting HR is 61-68.

dinkystinky · 03/02/2016 09:46

57 - 60 here - about to turn 40 and exercise around 7 hours a week. 5 ft 4 and around 10 1/2 stone

Hrafnkel · 03/02/2016 09:54

48-54 here. A runner. Not massively fit but have stamina.

suzannecaravaggio · 03/02/2016 10:41

Mine is naturally low and drops to low 40s when I do a lot of endurance exercise

My partner is one of those naturally fit and althetic types, high aerobic capacity even in untrained state but his is quite high...around 70
