As requested, here is a November thread.

Everyone welcome - it doesn't matter if you've never tried a Jillian DVD before or if you've got the full set. A thread to keep us all motivated as we push on through November with Jillian.

Today I did Ri30 L1D6, followed by 6W6P L2D3.

Oh, what's Yoga Inferno?

When people say theyve been "doing" them for long periods, how often?

I started off doing 30DS four to five times per week. Now I usually do two different DVDs back-to-back five to six times per week (I'd certainly made it all the way through 30DS before I started doubling up). I almost always have a rest day on Saturdays.

Can't help on the Yogo Inferno front - have t done that Smile

Today's session: Ri30 L2D4 and 6W6P L2D6.

It is quite a cool workout where Jillian gets two of her chums out in the desert to do a sort of high intensity Yoga hybrid. It's fun!

I work out approximately three times a week for between twenty and fifty minutes each.

You don't actually need to work out that often or for that long to see results, as long as you are doing it at least every three days and you are doing it to the point of getting sweaty, out of breath, and making your muscles ache afterwards. Which you can achieve in twenty minutes of high intensity cardio and weight training.

A bit later than usual today: Ri30 L2D5 & 6W6P L1D7.

I'v been a bit remiss about checking in with this thread. I have been exercising though.

Tue: NMTZ
Wed: Ri30 L2D6 & 6W6P L2D7

I'm hoping to fit in a Jillian session around being a taxi service for the DC this evening. Hopefully I should be ready to switch to level 3 Shock of Ri30 at the weekend (I've never made it past level 2 in my previous attempts, so this will be new territory for me).

Hi all,

I'm joining the thread, I am about 2 stone over weight, my main problem is my belly, it sticks out a lot and I feel uncomfortable. I have my xmas party coming up and I want to loose the belly.

I have got the following Jillian dvd's

one week shred - (never tried it)
Hard body
Kickbox fast fix
Yoga inferno
killer abs

out of which would be best for the belly?

I am thinking either killer abs or one week shred?

PS I am lazy and cant be bothered to exercise, I seem to be lacking motivation at the moment :(

Hi Slowprogress - welcome.

Your selection of DVDs seems to be the compliment of mine. I have:
30 Day Shred
Ripped in 30
No More Trouble Zones
6 Week 6 Pack
Killer Buns and Thighs (only tried level 1 once)
Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism (never tried this one)

I'd imagine killer abs would be good for the belly. But to be honest, I imagine you'd notice a difference whichever DVD you picked. I like to have 2 or 3 on the go and switch between them (otherwise I get bored).

I've found checking in with the thread helps my motivation. Today I can report that I have done Ri30 L2D7 & 6W6P L1D8.Smile

I did No More Trouble Zones today, though it was completely different from the workout I did the last time although it all looked the same in terms of outfits.

I've had two days off. Yesterday was my normal rest day and on Friday I was feeling under the weather, so decided to have a day off from Jillian.

Today I did Ri30 L2D8 & 6W6P L2D8.

I think I'll move on to the next level of Ri30 tomorrow. Just trying to decide whether I should watch it through first (to see what I'm letting myself in for) or whether it is better not no know in advance...

A bit hit and miss for me at the moment. Even when I do fit in a session, I keep forgetting to update this thread.

Yesterday: Ri30 L3D1 (v.v.hard) and 6W6P L1D9.
Today: NMTZ

Has anyone else done level 3 of Ri30? Does Jillian miss a move at the end of the first strength circuit doubting my own observation?

I did Ri30 L3D2 this evening. It doesn't seem any easier (only now I've been through it before o feel guilty when I stop and watch - first time through I justify it as 'learning the moves').

Anyway, despite resting several a couple of times, I still felt tired afterwards. I really had to force myself to change the DVD over and push on with 6W6P L2D9.

Please could someone tell me how many days you are supposed to do each level of the 30 day shred for? Thank you

Report
OublietteBravo · 27/11/2015 20:08

I did 10 days at each level (so it took me about 6-7 weeks to get through the whole thing allowing for rest days).

Feeling lazy tonight, so just NMTZ.

I have done 30DS 3 or 4 times now and it is amazing - without doubt the best exercise regime I've done in terms of noticeable results. Problem is, I'm getting a bit bored with it now. Which other Jillian DVD should I try? I would prefer to stick with no longer than 20 min workouts.

Oubliette Delurking to say yes, there is a missing move on RI30 L3!
And regarding there not being so many Shred threads around as a few years ago: I got into JM DVDs in 2011 thanks to mn (was on a thread similar to this one under a different posting name). Getting the DVDs done has become routine so I stopped posting. I didn't need to post to be motivated any longer. I occasionally lurk on the JM threads to see what people say about new DVDs or if I am feeling a bit lazy, to get myslf out of a rut.
I'm hoping all the other posters from 'my' thread are also carrying on independently rather than having given up!

Aha - I thought so. It is more obvious now I've done it a few times.

Today I did Ri30 L3D3 & 6W6P L1D10. I'm now being lazy and sitting by the fire doing very little.
