Ive had gait and bought the trainers they advised a few month ago, At the time was running 5-8km, Im now up to 10 km and last few runs, when i finish toes on both feet are sore.... I did a parkrun (5km) sat and toes fine...
What do i needto do stop this?

The first thing that strikes me is that your running shoes are the wrong size. Too tight and your toes will be pushed up against the top of the shoe when your feet expand slightly as you run, too loose and your toes will be curled in trying to keep the shoe in place.

Different size for different distance?
For the months ive had them all has been fine its only on 10km runs...
Id of said need to go up a size(or half?), just annoying as not had them too long...
thanks

8k-10k is less than an extra 2 miles I'd be surprised if it made that much difference.
I'd imagine they are maybe too narrow?

Running shoes should be bigger than everday shoes. Or maybe they're ok in size but your feet are slipping forward, or too loose at the heel? There's a way you can lace them to not slip, that's what the extra holes at the top are for, use it to thread a loop each side and feed the lace through, knot and then it'll hold it tighter round your ankle. www.huffingtonpost.jp/2015/05/13/extra-shoelace-holes_n_7279726.html

My feet are narrow and seem plenty of room in trainer, width wise.
Ive got heel lock on trainers, thats supposed to keep heel in place. I have seen the extra hole way of lacing them but never tried it.
Im also going to try thinner socks, i bought cushioned running socks and this could co inside with toe bashing!
thankyou

My new trainers are a size and a half bigger than my old ones - they've eliminated my black toenail problem. I was amazed that they needed to be so big but the lady in the shop turned out to have been spot on. Comfiest trainers I've ever had.

Yes me too.... Size and a half bigger

Did London marathon with no blisters and all toenails in tact!
