I bought a fitbit Charge HR from Argos yesterday in a size=small, having measured my wrist at 15.5cm [which is apparently a small wrist]. I then struggled to get the thing out of its box so have damaged the packaging. I now need to exchange the small fitbit for a large one [which i have reserved for collection tomorrow].
However, Argos's Ts & Cs suggest I can't exchange it unless I return it unused and in its original packaging, undamaged! Given that I measured my wrist and ordered the small one as per guidelines, but it's too tight [it's on the last hole, so gets a bit too snug if I exercise] - I hope I can persuade Argos to exchange it as I anticipate an argument at the till tomorrow!
My contention is that despite measuring myself as per guidelines, the item turns out to be too small and as it took me and a large teenager an almighty struggle to haul the plastic case out of several layers of box and sticky tape seals, I couldn't try it for size until I'd got it out of the box, and couldn't get it out of the box to try it on without damaging the box.
I hope that they will see my side [I can be very persuasive and am usually quite good at standing my ground!], but has anyone else any experience of having trouble exchanging fitbits?
