What does your usual workout week consist of?

Just joined a health club. Used to be a runner but am soooooo bored of pounding pavements the same old route & realised I actually really enjoy classes - turn up and someone tells me what to do!

So I just wondered what everyone's workout week looks like? So far I've done 2 spinning classes last week, and this week I'm planning 2 spins, 1 body pump and a swim.

Does everyone stick to the same classes, or try loads of different classes? I don't want to appear a class "whore" by swapping and changing all the time, but I think I just need variation in order to keep me motivated....

I am lucky enough to work only one day a week, and my children are either grown up and working /university or at school.
Exercise has become my hobbyGrin

Same here, very limited working hours (trying to change that just a bit) so it is my hobby!

Usually 2-3 each of running, swimming and cycling plus one strength session. Enjoying the free time now while I'm still TTC and don't have kids yet! I do the majority of my cycling and strength training and some of my running with hubby so it's a bit of couple time there too.

I also fit things in around DC's activities where I can, jump in the gym for half an hour while they have swimming lessons, do a kickboxing class alongside theirs for example. DH will go for a 6k or so run around the park, kids go with him on their bikes and they chat...

I do 2-3 gym workouts a week, alternating programmes I put together myself. One is part cardio/part core, the other two programmes are weights-based.

I also do yoga once a week just because it makes me feel luuuurvely afterwards.

If I an be arsed, I'll fit in a DVD at home (Shred, yoga or pilates).

Occasionally I go for a swim on a whim (only in summer...hate it when its cold).

I abhor running. Find it really boring and hard on my knees. I used to do classes, but have really got into weights now and find it is having much more impact on my fitness and how I look.

Pre-child I did a mix of gym classes: spin, body balance (fave!), body pump, yoga, swimming, aqua aerobics, jogging. Nowadays I’m not a gym member but aged 48 with a 6yo, I walk minimum 4 miles most days (school runs), 5 mins yoga most eves, 10 min dumbbells home workout once a week. 2 min planks occasionally. I haven’t jogged in a while but must change that & maybe rejoin a gym for classes if I can afford it.
