I have been through this. Are you all healed? What level of exercise are you currently doing? Have you checked for abdominal separation?

When dc2 was only 4 days old, dd started school for the first time so I had to catch a bus and walk a couple of miles with the baby in a sling twice a day. At first, I moved quite gingerly, took an early bus, sat down for a break and to breast feed in the playground, meandered slowly. After a couple of weeks, I was walking briskly. Soon I started adding in an extra mile or so of brisk walking, doing a loop of the village first. Then I started trying to race to the bus stop so I was having to very fast walk/trot. I carried on building up like this until the baby was about 8 or 9 weeks old at which point I started doing some gentle jogging/walking combos. By 12 weeks I was able to go for a short, brisk run.

So slowly, slowly, slowly and listen to your body.

Take it really easy. Listen to your body. Any twinges at all, listen to them more than ever. It's lovely to get back out there. The sun's starting to peek out too. Enjoy it and congratulations on the baby. Smile
