please recommend some running shoes-cushioned, zero drop, wide toe box

I'm considering the Saucony Virrata but hear they are on the narrow side?

Have you tried Brooks Pure Pace?

well no, but I have run in the pure drift, I found them good on width but bit lacking in cushioning.

Are you sure it's the drift?
a quick google tells me that 'The Brooks Pure Project range comprise of the Cadence, Flow, Connect and Drift'

Brooks Glycerin? They are quite a chunky cushioned shoe and very comfortable.

I've it brooks adrenaline. Nice n padded perfect for my fat feet too

Suzanne I am loving my on clouds, not zero drop but only 2mm I think. I found the pure too wide, I like a snug narrow fit so clouds may not be for you, but I have never worn a better shoe, I look for opportunities to wear them when I am not even running.

Those are the ones Suzanne. They still are slightly more cushioned than the Brooks Pure, but not so much that you feel like you have a heavy cushion attached to you. They are super light and fit beautifully. I use the proper laces not the elastic ones they come with, but I did do a couple of runs with the elastic and they are ok, I just like a tight shoe.

I got them because my first ever running trainers came from decathlon and needed upgrading!! I then tried Brooks Pure but they were awful, my foot slid around in them, I was gripping with my toes on downhills and I got the most awful ITB pain which I am still dealing with (and I only ran in them for 10 days!).

Swapped to the On Cloud and I am never going back to bulky trainers again, these are amazing, i want to get a few more pairs in case they change the model!

The only down side is you sometimes get stones in between the grips but it isn't a huge issue on roads.

Mizuno Wave Cursoris, super cushioned zero drop, I find them really nice, I use non-cushioned when running fast, but for easy runs the cushioning on these is great.

Mizuno wave rider purple or Asics cumulus. Most local running shoe shops give good advice.

I got the brooks glycerine in the end (thanks Majestic) very pleased with them!

very...vibrams are fine for short bursts on the treadmill but several miles on concrete is a different kettle of fish!
