I've always been a fit and fast walker but have never been able to run.
I've started a running challenge and am finding it really difficult, but the silly thing is I can speed walk at 7kph on the treadmill until the cows come home, but if I then switch to a run at 7kph I just can't keep it up, even though it's the exact same speed!
As I'm new to running I'm just trying to understand the mechanics of it. Clearly it's not a speed thing - so what is it about running that's so much harder than just walking fast?
