Does anyone wear barefoot shoes?

Hi,

I'm planning to buy some barefoot trainers, for walking rather than running, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend a particular make or style? Or just any feedback on them.

I'm planning to get a pair of normal trainer style ones rather than the ones with individual toes, as I don't think I'd like the feel of them between my toes :)

I've got quite a few pairs of Vivobarefoot trainers and shoes.
They last very well, but are pricey.
I find them so comfortable. I run in one pair - you can take out the sole if you want to go for the very barefoot feel.
The others I just have them for knocking around the garden in and walking.

Ooh I've been looking at their website, they are lovely. I was trying to decide between them and the Merrell barefoot ones but the Vivo ones seem more genuinely barefoot. It's good to hear they're comfortable as I hate wearing shoes so hoping they'll be a good compromise Grin

Vivo are always on sale at Sports Direct, so try there. I have some nike bionics which are great.

Ooh thank you. I looked in my local one on the off chance but couldn't find any, although it's so cramped it's difficult to get far enough from the walls to actually see all the shoes! Grin I will check the website. I will also have a look at the Nikes :)

I've found newbalance quite good but vibrams are my favorite

Nike bionics look as if they have a positive heel (?) barefoot has to be totally flat imo

I like the look of these Vivo ones. I want something that can withstand some mud and whatnot but still with proper barefoot sole, and all the Vivo ones claim to.

Nah, they're not totally barefoot but pretty low profile. Can 't be more than 3/4mm drop. Good starting point though.
