Toning upper arms???

JohnSnowsTie · 01/08/2013 14:52

I'm planning to start spinning, 30 day shred and C25K . Will any (or all) of these help to tone my upper arms? Or should I add weights to the mix?

Thanks

Spinning will def

I picked up a simple weight from Tchibo and that did the job for me, just have to be careful not to overdo it. A friend of mine is very thin but has very muscular upper arms from doing this and it Looks a bit odd tbh

I think shred will be good for it. I've been doing tricep dips for a few weeks and can see a definite difference to the 'bingo wing' area.

How does spinning help upper arms if it's cycling? Not meant to sound sarcastic, just genuinely intrigued!

Will look into Tchibo, thanks.

I suspect that was sarcastic...

Shred should help. Tricep dips are also good.

I feel a bit silly now Blush Grin

Some spinning bikes (trx?) have moving handle bars so do tone your upper arms Smile

From what I've read about the shred (havent plucked up the courage yet!) that should tone your upper arms.

The shred is good, but also add some separate free weight time, push ups, tricep dips, pull ups (if you can). (am quite a fan of body weight training like Convict Conditioning)

We do loads of arm press type stuff during my spin class. Grin
