I'm doing the c25k and I love it, I'm doing very well. Yesterday I went for my 28 minutes run and normally they advised to take a day or 2 rest..I really fancy going for another one tonight...a 20-25 minutes one.

As I'm not a proper runner, just a jogger can I take the risk and go again ?

Any pain anywhere? If not, carry on, learning your own body is more important than any rules about how often you can do it which err so far on the side of caution that for most people they do involve too much rest. Too much rest will just leave less fit than you would otherwise be, too much running can leave you injured, it's obvious which the courses recommend.

I think if you have got the 'itch' and want to go out again, you are a proper runner Smile

Actually... what is the difference between a runner and a jogger ? I thought we called it running these days and jogging was a bit ... well.. 80's ... ???

Speed I think! I just my first 5k in 31mins 38secs and I was definitely jogging...... The lady runners did it in about 22mins!

Ha ha ha I went yesterday in the end ! It was good ! I promise you I'm just a jogger as I'm really slow..I do 3.5 k in 28 minutes..I think that when I slim down I'll be faster for now I have to be patient !

I cant believe that running is such a big part of my life ! I love it ! The benefits are great, I'm getting toned, I'm losing weight slowly but surely and even my skin is glowing !

I'm thinking the same thing shake (Im on week 8). I used to do 1/2m before I had dc3 and got FAT so Im itching to up the pace. I think I will complete c25k as the programme dictates and then use it as a base for 10k training, which will immediately up the frequency of runs. Having had bad ITB issues in the past when running much longer distances I'm keen not to get injured!
