Swimming with 10 week old

I have a swim nappy for 10 week old and going to a heated infant pool but have heard of parents using whole body wetsuits to keep them warm. Will swim nappy/trunks be enough? Will keep his towel close by for coming out of the pool.

It will be absolutely fine Smile. Babies go swimming all the time without wetsuits. expect to be in the pool for 15 minutes max the first time and feed her as soon as she's dressed, she will be starving! Apart from that have fun.

Great thanks! He loves his baths so hoping that he'll have fun :)

My DS went swimming for 1st time at 6wks and we made sure we didn't stay in for long and had a towel on the side to wrap him up warm the moment we got out. Tbh at this age they can be snuggled up next to you for a bit whilst in the water so will get something from your body heat.
In all the years of taking DS swimming the only person bothered by the cold is me Grin

Our local pool is bloody freezing so I do use a wet suit because it buys us more than 5 mins in the water. It also means that ds (5mo) can last as long in the water as dd (2.5yrs).

if the pool is heated then it'll be fine. Mine all loved swimming from a few weeks old, enjoy!

Thanks! That's good to know, the 'baby pool' is heated! :)
