Pedometer - recommendations

Hiya,

Have recently lost quite alot of weight through the heartbreak diet Hmm, and really would like to keep it off, (every cloud has a silver lining).

Having given the alcohol and the fags, would really like to incorporate some daily gentle exercise, and thought that a pedometer might give me some motivation, however looking at amazon there are loads and loads, and are a range of prices, so thought I would ask for some recommendations here.

What would you go for, and how many steps should I be aiming for.

Thanks

Aim for 10,000 steps a day - which is about 5 miles.

I've had best luck buying at an outdoors/camping type store, and find that spending around £15 buys something sturdy and accurate.

Get them to help you measure stride length at the shop, and they should be able to help you program that into the pedometer.

You may need to experiment with exactly where to place the pedometer so it measures accurately.

Good luck. Writing this makes me think i should get walking again!

So don't buy online then?
Might have to nip into Tiso on the way home tomorrow, far better way to spend money than on ciggies Grin

Just in case your still checking this thread... I have an Omron III and I love it. It is very accurate and I would def recommend it. Got it at Argos.
