Bit embarrassing - really uncomfortable vagina after exercise

Does anyone know what the cause of this would be?

I do Davina's exercise DVD and I also go running about once a week.
More and more recently I am getting really uncomfortable after.
It feels like a lot of pressure inside me and almost like I have strained the muscles inside my vagina Confused Blush

When I stand up I get a shooting pain which makes standing straight up difficult. I am usually recovered by the next day.

Does anyone know what this is? Am I just pushing myself too hard? It does seem to be happening more since I started running, however I haven't done a run for over a week and did my DVD earlier and it feels quite bad now.

Sounds like a low cervix problem. Stick a couple of fingers ip there. If you can touch your cervix before you get to the join in your fingers, it's too low!

Could be a prolapse. This is how I feel and I have one since childbirth. However you need an internal to confirm it so see a doctor.

No, I can't touch my cervix.

I have wondered about a prolapse. But I can stop myself mid pee easily.

Would a HCP be able to tell about a prolapse, without looking for it specifically? I had my coil checked last week and the DR didn't say anything.

I have made a gynaecological appointment at the GP for tomorrow.

Feel a bit scared about it to be honest.

It is just like having a smear. It will be fine.

May not be but I have no wee probs either.

Hope you are OK.

Thanks fifitot. Not so much scared of the examination (after giving birth twice I really have no qualms there!).

More scared of what they might find.

If there is a problem I may be back with more questions.

It may not be a prolapse. If it is it is likely to be a mild one if you haven't noticed anything protuding - sorry if tmi!

I sympathise though - not much worse than having something wrong with your bits!

Let me know how you get on.

Well the Dr didn't find anything wrong - but she doesn't think I should be in pain so has referred me for a scan to see if it throws anything up.

Well that doesn't sound too bad then.
