But Brexit may make it harder to sort out any normal issues, say if there were delays in imports or things are more expensive or workers can't get visas or any other knock on effect.

Personally we may be less resilient and find it harder to overcome difficulties if general life is more difficult.

Power goes out, sometimes fuses blow, fuses need to be replaced, most plugs have screws therefore screwdriver required if you don’t already have one. Not a brexit necessity but any suggestion was a general being prepared one.

I have a fairly decent stash. We could survive (on an increasingly unvaried diet) for about 4 weeks.

Advance buying some Christmas presents, cards and wrapping is a good one. Especially if it’s a luxury item that we may be short on - Belgian chocolate maybe?

Does anyone know how long power banks hold their charge before being used? I've charged ours up but I don't know if they will remain fully charged over time. They are Anker ones.

DH got a cheap as chips B & M job out of the cupboards the other week. Last used 4 years ago. Still had 75% charge.

I had an idea just now. If you (the main stockpile organiser and stower) become ill, will your significant others know where various items are stashed (presuming you have some kind of system)?

To that end, I have begun labelling cupboard shelves with numbers and each shelf will have a list of the items. I know if I get ill then DP will spend ages trying to find stuff (and perhaps won't be well either) so I figure this may save some vital energy. There'll be lists of shelf contents stuck to the cupboards for ease of reference. I'm reorganising my shelves today.

DD knows where stuff is. Ds will fucking starve as he has difficulty finding the fridge.

I think I have most of it covered already. No panic purchases here, sez the woman with 35 can of tinned tomatoes (special offers).. I do worry about having enough onions.
