What do you think will happen after Brexit?

OP posts:
Clavinova · 20/03/2019 22:45

Mistigri

I have no idea why clavinova spends so long copy and pasting stuff on here.
Someone has to balance the remainers. Some people are posting at 5am in the morning!

Takes 5 seconds to google.

Miljah · 21/03/2019 00:09

Clavinola hahaha, etc. But where's your buddy, surferjet? There's usually the two of you in a comedy double act, on these threads.

Sure, it's tricky once The Brexit Arms ceased trading, what, a year ago? But there must surely be a bigger Brexit rah-rah squad than you two?

Or is surferjet marching with (Where's) Nige?

Actually, I admire your tenacity, in a slightly pitying way. It must feel like The Last Days Of The Berlin Bunker.

PizzaCafe2016 · 21/03/2019 03:05

I have worked in several different Countries over the last few years and I keep in contact with many former colleagues as it is often how Jobs appear.

Most can't believe what the UK is doing. UK is currently ranked as 5th economy of the World, but think they can do better going it alone? Odd.

Whatever the outcome UK will be the laughing stock of the World for a long time and UK will be a divided nation for a long time too. All sad stuff.

bellinisurge · 21/03/2019 06:09

"Some people are posting at 5am in the morning!"
Anyone would think there were people up early with children. Or on night shift. Or early shift. Or in a different time zone. Hmm

Mistigri · 21/03/2019 07:29

Someone has to balance the remainers.

Sure. But even if you believe this shit, you or someone else is taking a lot of time over it, because most of what you post isn't just c&p-ed, it's also carefully woven and spun to distort or amplify meaning. What is the point when we are heading to find out exactly what a no deal Brexit looks like in 8 days? And when no minds are changing? The time for "Brexit will be just GREAT" is gone, because even if there is a great Brexit out there somewhere, this government is plainly incapable of delivering it.

I'm genuinely curious why anyone would take the time to do this, especially on such infertile ground as mumsnet, unless they were receiving something in return.

Clavinova · 21/03/2019 08:52

Miljah
You probably frightened the other posters away. Grin

bellinisurge
I can imagine you being the anxious type - awake all hours of the day and night - listening out for intruders trying to steal your stockpile of beans and rice. Wink

Mistigri
I see you couldn't keep away. Grin

you or someone else is taking a lot of time over it, because most of what you post isn't just c&p-ed

All me - have you ever heard of speed reading? Picked up in my career pre-kids - very useful. I was out most of Tuesday and Weds morning and you still accused me of being on here all the time.

I'm genuinely curious why anyone would take the time to do this

Genuinely believe that civil servants and others are feeding us false negatives about brexit, plus the scaremongering on mumsnet had reached ridiculous levels - no medicines, no food, people will die etc....

1tisILeClerc · 21/03/2019 09:02

{Genuinely believe that civil servants and others are feeding us false negatives about brexit, plus the scaremongering on mumsnet had reached ridiculous levels - no medicines, no food, people will die etc....}

So all the MPs, cabinet, civil service, Army and thousands more are all in on a big plan to do what exactly?
And for fun, they have enlisted the heads of all 27 EU countries to join in on this charade, persuading them to spend many Billions to prepare for, what exactly?

bellinisurge · 21/03/2019 09:07

Hi @Clavinova , I sleep peacefully and well. I hope it'll be uneventful and smooth. I'm prepared to feed my family if it isn't.

jasjas1973 · 21/03/2019 09:27

You accuse Belli of being the worrying anxious type! have you checked for commies under the bed yet lol!

Medicine shortages (within NHS) have increased from an avg 30 per month to 164 per month, as stockpiling by drugs companies and price rises kick in.

Even hardcore ERG types say there will be short term disruption...... when 700 plus laws cease to apply on 29th March, short term is relative but reassuring you know better.

1tisILeClerc · 21/03/2019 09:32

It's OK folks, the government are in control.
Liam Fox has taken full command of ALL trade negotiations, bypassing parliamentary scrutiny.
Nothing can possibly go wrong.
Ref from yesterday evening on Westminsterenders thread.

Clavinova · 21/03/2019 09:50

have you checked for commies under the bed yet lol!

No - unfortunately I only have to look at Jeremy Corbyn and John McDonnell to give me the shivers. Grin

Mistigri · 21/03/2019 09:50

you still accused me of being on here all the time

I didn't, but if you are speed reading then I guess comprehension and accuracy fall. Does the same apply to your speed reading of articles?

bellinisurge · 21/03/2019 09:52

I agree with you @Clavinova . I hate Corbyn and Macdonald too. They give me the shivers.
Sorry to spoil your "All Remain voters are Corbynites All Remain voters want Revoke All who prep are swivel eyed loons" fantasy.

Mistigri · 21/03/2019 09:53

I can't stand corbyn either and I am in theory a liberal lefty.

Which bit isn't accurate from what said, @Clavinova . Or are you too busy waiting for your Ocado delivery?

Clavinova · 21/03/2019 10:03

Or are you too busy waiting for your Ocado delivery?
No, I'm going to John Lewis today. Grin

bellinisurge · 21/03/2019 10:05

Ah yes, just like all the impoverished and desperate Leave voters where I live. You understand their feelings so well.

1tisILeClerc · 21/03/2019 10:27

{Nothing wrong with my speed reading and comprehension - I used to be a lawyer.}

That is not a recommendation. The people messing my life up the worst are a succession of lawyers who are supposed to be working for me to claim against others. Starting with lying, incompetence and extortion.
Come the revolution they should be first against the wall.

Clavinova · 21/03/2019 10:34

The people messing my life up the worst are a succession of lawyers who are supposed to be working for me to claim against others.

Ooh - a vexatious litigant. Wink

Clavinova · 21/03/2019 10:37

"Let's kill all the lawyers" Shakespeare

Thankfully - I haven't been a lawyer for many years now.

TalkinPaece · 21/03/2019 16:16

If I remember correctly, Clavinova and I go to the same Waitrose

I'll look out for her stockpiling tomorrow afternoon Grin

Clavinova · 21/03/2019 17:35

Why was my post deleted? What did I say?

Bellinisurge's post was inaccurate.

She posted; I hate Corbyn and Macdonald too - she should have typed McDonnell.

*TalkinPaece
OMG - my fridge and cupboards are always half empty. Blush

TalkinPaece · 21/03/2019 17:40

Clavinova
I've still not learned the new layout with all the ready meals on the back wall
I'll meet you in the safety of the wine section Smile

Clavinova · 21/03/2019 17:44

Oh yes! Wine
