When will she realise she does not speak for us all.
She is hell bent on herself and delivering what she wants to save face.

This is not about what is best for the country - it’s about her.

How can she be stopped?

@BF, it’s not the media that is stressing me out. It’s the Prime Minister and the message she continually gives and the actions that she takes.
She is making mistake after mistake.
She has wasted 2 years.
This is our lives she is messing about with. So yes I am stressed.
I have children, I want the best for them and I feel hopeless.

I just hate the way she shamelessly keeps on stating how she’s doing all this in the interests of the country and to maintain our prosperity when all the forecasts suggest it’s anything but !

bellinisurge · 17/01/2019 15:52

That's not my Brexit, it's consequences are too shitty.

PortiaCastis · 17/01/2019 16:12

She doesn't speak for me, why would I want her incompetent shit storm and why would I want to take the Country to the dogs, just about had enough of her government and her posturing. The County I'm in benefitted from EU membership why on earth would I want to throw that away it's ridiculous and shoot in foot comes to mind. Not sure how we can get rid of her as the obvious option has failed and nobody else wants the poison chalice, so short of employing a Guy Fawkes descendant I admit I don't know

bellinisurge · 17/01/2019 16:16

I'd guard against making reference to Guy Fawkes even in jest.

nothingwittyhere · 17/01/2019 16:21

When i refer to Guy Fawkes nowadays it certainly isn't in jest.

bellinisurge · 17/01/2019 16:24

Please don't. Just don't. We are all pissed off.

1tisILeClerc · 17/01/2019 17:00

{ Yet still she continues to push on a closed door with the EU,}
The rules for membership and leaving the EU are all written up neatly.
The UK is leaving the EU, it is entirely up to the UK to do all the running.
The EU would prefer the UK not to leave but it is not going to stop it. A 'no deal' as is gradually being appreciated by some, will be catastrophic.
The EU is likely to see a bump, similar to the 2008 bank crisis.
The UK could well be 10 times worse and lead to a depression, similar to the 1930's.
Anybody even contemplating a no deal simply hasn't thought things through, except for Putin and some like the ERG who are betting big money on the UK's collapse.

Random18 · 17/01/2019 17:11

Ha ha I did think about Guy Fawkes last night.
I can’t even begin to comprehend how bad things are going to get.
And still I see people think the NHS will get more money..............

One of the few leavers I know shared some Guy Fawkes meme. Forget the costumes, this is a twat trying to bomb Parliament.
It's not funny. It really isn't.

AndhowcouldIeverrefuse · 17/01/2019 19:30

With a robust media sector Brexit wouldn't have happened. The decades-long xenophobic campaign of anti-EU lies wouldn't exist. Liars like Boris Johnson wouldn't have a career. Theresa May would have lasted 6 months. All the rubbish that the leave campaign peddled with unaccountable people like Farage would have been pilloried instead of given equal airtime. The campaign irregularities that keep on coming up would be front page every day until action was taken. The fact that NI voted to remain wouldn't have been brushed under the carpet. Cabinet members would be quizzed and shamed for their ignorance with a Dutch politician style eye roll.

Etcetera etcetera

Satsumaeater · 17/01/2019 19:36

I would say to save sanity, try not to focus too much on what the media pump out, its not always true and causes so much stress

This. It is very difficult though.

pointythings · 17/01/2019 20:02

The use of the term 'overwhelming majority' to describe a 52/48 split shows a disturbing lack of understanding of both mathematics and the English language.

Imissgmichael · 18/01/2019 17:51

It wasn’t an overwhelming majority but it was still a majority and apparently the biggest voting turnout since 1992. Make of that what you will.

Helmetbymidnight · 18/01/2019 18:15

it wasn’t an overwhelming majority - I don’t know why anyone/t may would say it was.
