Brexit

Annoyed that a (now ex) co-worker keeps asking me about Brexit

First time she asked me, it was said in a sort of 'Are you worried about Brexit'. I replied, no, I'm Irish, we are covered by the Ireland Agreement or whatever it is. A discussion ensued, so she was aware I wasn't concerned.
Now, 4 months later, I left my job as I didn't like it, and she asked me again? Will you go home now because of Brexit?

AIBU to feel miffed that she is asking me this - TWICE. It's almost as if she wants me to leave? Lol. I'm aware the Irish aren't wanted here, but bloody hell, don't be so damned obvious about it.

For reference, I've had discussions with one other colleague (Polish with British citizenship) and he feels it's the Polish that people wanted to get rid of. With other colleagues e.g. one Hungarian lady, I've never brought it up as it seems impolite to bring it up for some reason? The discussion with the Polish colleague was at his instigation.

If you're not British, do you find people asking you this a lot? Or just if you're from a particularly unwanted nation lol..

I'm English/British and very worried about Brexit. She obviously doesn't understand the separate agreement between UK and ROI, and may be expressing concern that you feel you have to go back to Ireland because of Brexit. Maybe she is worried and wants to talk to someone else who is worried. Maybe she's xenophobic and wants to know when you are off!!! The latter seems odd thing to raise in the workplace even if you were xenophobic (unless she's also stupid and wants to lose her job?). You won't know unless you asked her/discussed it with her. If she's now your ex colleague I wouldn't worry about it.

PS I am also quite jealous you are Irish given that you get to stay in the EU!!

I thought Irish unlike the British were very good at being direct? Y can't you just say to her "Do you WANT me to leave or something?" She's not even a colleague you need to avoid offending.

Sounds to me like she's taking polls of EU citizens she knows for her own anecdata.
