Liam Fox faces a Commons showdown over the government’s demand for total secrecy over talks with the United States over a post-Brexit trade deal. i revealed yesterday that a working group from Dr Fox’s Department for International Trade (DIT) had agreed with its American counterparts that the negotiations would remain classified for four years after a deal is struck. The disclosure provoked anger among opposition parties which accused the minister of breaking promises to be transparent about the conduct of trade talks. They vowed to confront Dr Fox when MPs debate the government’s Trade Bill early next month.

Santa promised a shiny Canada +++ with batteries that would be better than my EU

but when I unwrapped the glittery paper, I found it was just the plain old Canada model that doesn't do most things I need.

I switched it on, but small pieces fell off immediately, that could be swallowed
and I saw the dangerous sharp corners,
with more hidden sharp bits that you only find when you play with it and get injured

After a few minutes, there was a puff of smoke, the lights went out and it doesn't work anymore.

I'd much rather keep my EU, but Santa is going to take it away soon

(but I knew Santa was a rotter, so I moved last July to where der Weihnachtsmann will let me keep the main bits of my EU )

The Brexit arms seems to have gone very quiet again.
