Should Nigel Farage be involved in Brexit negotiations, 45,000 have signed a petition demanding he is involved. Has he earned the right? with UKIP being the biggest party in the EU Parliament should they be included? who will fight as hard for British interests than Nigel?

remain voters are cowards & would run a mile if we were invaded ( let's say by some mythical tribe ) & that the leave voters are the ones who would stand & fight to protect our land & people

What in the name of does that have to do with the topic of this thread? Confused

Eh I thought leavers say (pretend) that their main reason to leave was because they only wanted the 'democratically elected' in charge of them and not meps.
How come they want Nigel then?

Definitely not! He's tried to be elected as an MP 7 times with no luck.

Parliament is sovereign - not a lobbyist or unemployed MEP!

No. Never.

His speech to MEPs yesterday was hardly the way to open negotiations. He basically went to the European Parliament to goad and gloat, and he shat all over its members.

How could that toad ever be seen as a negotiator?

I still live in hope that Brexit will not happen. I am allowed to dream as it is all I have left.

The Leqvers seem to have a very .......flexible..........definition of "democratically elected"

Vote out because Comissioners aren't elected (even though they are fulfilling a role that isn't an elected role). Then choose unelected people to negotiate for you.

Because he handled the EU sooo well yesterday with his 'Nyaa nyaa, told you we'd leave, yaaaaahhhh?'

He's not a diplomat. Stick him in a pub somewhere with the other bores. He'll never have to buy another drink.

To be fair, Bertrand, there's only one poster who appears to sincerely support Farage for negotiations. I'm just kidding Grin I consider Farage to be the suppurating pus-filled sore on the haemorrhoid-covered diarrhoea-spewing anus that is our current economic, political and social situation. Also know by Brexiters as "all going as we expected".

Would depend on how fucked up and one sided you wanted it, think if he was involved we'd be more fucked then we are.

can't believe he had so much airtime during the referendum spouting pure lies and hate.

No, he's a twat, we would get laughed at (more than we are already), they hate him, he is a self serving smug little man......think that covers it Smile

I agree with Surfer probably for the first time ever. Nigel Farage should absolutely be involved. "We the people" voted "conclusively" for the campaign he spearheaded. "The people" must therefore trust him to lead us, as Orpheus led Eurydice out of Hades. Nigel will ensure that the electorate get exactly what they damn well deserve.

Because that went so well for Eurydice didn't it? Grin

Well he's leader of UKIP & an MEP for a start, so I'd say he's pretty knowledgable on this issue wouldn't you

I wrote to Mr Farage once in his capacity as an MEP and member of the Fisheries Committee. He wrote back almost immediately, I was deeply impressed. He'd written a one paragraph letter saying 'Thank you for your letter, the EU is unreformable, we must leave the EU!' That was it. No wonder he could respond quickly.

The bloke is a liability. If he is involved in negotiations we will end up with nothing. I am sure the other MEPs can't wait to see the back of him. I don't blame them - I would quite like to see the back of him too, preferably falling off a cliff.

Yeah, all right, whatevs. He's been top of the poll in the South east EP constituency for 17 years so he does have a legitimate standing provided by the honest British voter. Let's remind the EP why they really, really want shot of us in a vivid way. I think the humiliation is probably good for our souls, we'll all end up in heaven.
