Awaiting Brit School Response

I can see there are old threads but thought I'd start a new one for current applications - can't believe we haven't heard at all from Brit School in response to application, do they really leave the kids wondering all over Christmas.
Anyone else been given an audition date yet please? Or been declined going through to the audition stage?

Can I ask- when did you hear about the meeting/workshop and when did you complete your application (both the initial form and then the workshop task thing to do with Lego...)- we submitted 10 days ago and I believe applications for IDD officially closed 3rd Feb - we haven't heard anything yet though- so wondering how long you waited?

Congrats to everyone whose young people got in. My daughter got music performance strand rejection and reserve list. 10 people on reserve list. Does anyone internal know of anyone who ever got in off the reserve list?! Best not to hold out hope I know.

They were still doing auditions on Tuesday.
Now the Brit school is on holidays until the 15/03.
Last year they heard end of March 🤷🏽‍♀️

Apparently some people are hearing back today about their places. Anyone else aware of this?

No. We haven’t had anything Although I have noticed there is appeal stage 2 now showing on Applicca so not sure if that’s means it’s a no?

@MauveRaven are you a Sixth Form applicant? we applied for KS4 and there is no change visible in the portal.

DC was offered a MT sixth form place this morning. Can't believe it.

DC has a reserve place for MT. Not entirely sure how many places are likely to come up but we’ll just have to wait and see.

My son is at the Brit year 11
noboby heard nothing yet, they said end of the month
Today probably only MT for the external candidates, the internals MT heard about 3 weeks ago

Some Dance offers were out this morning for Post 16

Anyone know how many reserve places there are for post 16 dance ?

My son had his workshop and interview yesterday for film and media production the anxiety waiting is unreal lol

Has anyone on the reserve list for MT heard anything - we've pretty much settled on somewhere else now but just wondering if there have been any offers or they are still going through the appeals. Hoping everyone got the offers they wanted 🙏

nothing for the two post 16 MT i know of

We had our appeal back in May for Theatre
post 16 and he’s on the reserved list.
He had 2 offers for MT somewhere else but he’s got his heart on Brit school

This amazing news. Well done. My dd is still waiting on the reserve list for FMP and losing hope a little.

Just for anyone looking in the future, my daughter was offered a place from the reserve list for year 12 dance on GCSE results day. She has turned it down as happy with the college she’s going to, but thought it might be useful for others to know.
