Possible School Expulsion

Hi All,
Im very scared of what my outcome might be.
( I am in private school )
I have quite good grades but my record is not the best with 2 previous suspensions
I was caught with my phone after my mock exam despite not using it.
The school are in a predicament as they don’t know to do with me
I don’t know what school I am going or what the process is
I pray I don’t have to resit Year 11
Could anyone advice me on how I could get back into my school or the next steps
thanks

My parents would not want to keep my at home that’s not an option I guess
Is there any chance of staying in my school?

@schoolissues22

sorry but your posts indicate that you are trying to get out of this situation via a large donation or something.

This makes me think that you have not in fact learnt your lesson actually are not truly remorseful.

You also didn’t answer the question about why you had the phone with you when the rules are so clear.

Bullying other children is also against the rules. Is there a particular reason you feel that the rules don’t apply to you? I think you need to look at that and demonstrate honest and thorough self reflection and articulate genuine remorse to the Head.

Sorry if I am wrong about the donation thing but that’s how it reads.

HooverIsAlwaysBroken · 08/12/2022 12:48

OP, you will have to convince the school that you have had a long hard look at yourself and changed.

if you were my child, the bullying of other children would have made me so angry that you wouldn’t have had access to any electronic devices in the first place (unless required by school and then next to me). I would have taken the phone off you. It must have been extremely bad for you to be suspended.

With regards to the phone in the exam, it is probably impossible to prove that you didn’t use it.

again, if you were my child,

> with regards to the bullying: I would make you get involved with anti-bullying. I would find some way for you to volunteer or similar to make you understand how serious it was. I would also make you write a long letter to the person you bullied and apologise. And finally, I would have made you responsible for protecting the child you bullied against other bullies.

> with regards to the phone in exam, I would make you insist on re-taking the mock (or another mock) to show the school that you didn’t cheat and commit to not having a phone in school for the following two terms.

provided that you did the two things above, O would then do what I could to support you.

ChicCroissant · 08/12/2022 12:52

Schools are very clear about not having phones in exams, there is no chance at all that you were unclear on that point.

If it happened in a GCSE exam you will be disqualified from the exam you are taking and could be barred from taking exams for quite a few years.

The school won't want to risk that happening in an exam and having to notify that there's been a malpractice. You should also bear in mind that malpractice in exams can be reported by anyone, candidates as well as invigilators.

You could ask the school if you can return only to take the exams, or if they could suggest another place to sit them.

My parents would not want to pay for private lessons
Would a large donation be a big issue?
I just want to finish my GSCES at my current school

In these circumstances a donation would show that you think you are above the rules and can buy your way out of trouble. Massive red flag for the school about you and your personality.

schoolissues22 · 08/12/2022 13:01

Just to clarify I don’t want to do any donation it was just brought up my someone
I really have learnt my lesson and I want to get back into the school

ladymalfoy45 · 08/12/2022 13:04

Agree with @AlienSupaStar . Two chances to change and it appears you haven't.

schoolissues22 · 08/12/2022 13:05

just to clarify I don’t want to donate
ive also experienced bullying and I feel stupid to bully someone back
I completely forgot I had my phone and had no intention to teach
I had 2 other mocks earlier in the day and I was in a bad state of mind

Mention what about anti-bullying? You have a history of bullying.

Are you involved with anti bullying charities?

@schoolissues22 the thing is, you’re young but reading your posts you don’t sound very remorseful for your bullying, am I right?

You are coming across as just being concerned about your future, not the impact your actions have had on others.

My advice would be to reflect on what you have done. Accept responsibility for it and make a future plan in regards to your behaviour.

Begging a school or paying them off will not work. They want to see you have the ability to change your ways. They will want the reason to be because you are sorry for your behaviour not sorry you got caught.

Your posts are all very self centred, this will come across to the board.

Take time, reflect. You’re young, we all make mistakes but it’s important to learn from them and not repeat them.

Since never. Especially 15 year olds.
