Off topic ... sort of "shout out" to frequent Education posters ...

Being slightly too regular a reader and poster here, I wondered who else here is, like me, spends perhaps a bit too much time here.

I decided to use an online search of www.mumsnet.com/Talk/education to see which were the most common words used throughout the forum. I scanned down the list until user names started appearing.

www.online-utility.org/text/frequent_words.jsp

Here's the result (probably fraught with errors):

clondonmumsy
gracegrapecherry
katew70
fidelmabaldwin
freelancersself
thewordfactory Smile
cazzyg
tarquinmoria
camptownraces
gopherssitonsofas
whywhywhy101
wotsit123

I'd be very sad to see you go HG - your advice and opinion is invaluable.
Shout out too to Ladymuck who is a font of all knowledge on the London Day schools.

HG

It wouldn't be the same without your wisdom and i know you would be missed.
I understand if you feel you need to go and do respect that.
I personally would like to thank you for the wonderful help you gave me, it has been invaluable as I needed information quickly to make a life changing decision on dds behalf.
There was nobody in rl I could turn to as it was an alien concept to our friends and family.
Thank you so much Thanks

Possibly the stats looks odd because people (especially teachers) post in primary ed or secondary ed according to their expertise rather than 'education's.
I have always posted a lot in education but unfortunately havt to NC almost constantly for various reasons.
Sorry- hope that's legible there is a purple banner across my screen and ibcannot see what is typed!

happygardening · 12/03/2015 10:35

That bloody purple banner! I'm a technophobe but I eventually after struggling with it for a couple of day discovered I could close it!

Happy
You'll drift off the secondary threads and into the University threads ....
Same as I barely look at primary now and am starting to look at beyond school

When I had to name change it did my head in and as soon as I was allowed my "own" name back I grabbed it !

I'm liking the direction and sentiment of this thread.

Now a regular lurker in the higher education thread although I don't usually post anything I've learnt a lot. Less personal/aggressive remarks as well. I suspect your just less involved so the whole thing is less personal to you and as it's all new I don't keep reading or getting involved in the same debates over and over again.
I'm reluctant to name change as I lack imagination so can't think of anything clever but perhaps it's time to too.

thoth · 12/03/2015 23:35

happy- my phone is so brick-like that I cannot hit the teeny tiny cross to close off the banner.
