Can anyone give an experienced view on Reeds? How sporty do you have to be go there? My DS is not a sporty boy but is academic - we've been offered a place and am not sure that he will fit in and make friends. Likes sport just not that good.

Thanks expat momma just glad its all over , its still a lot of money but I'll manage as I think its worth it but I wouldn't want to do it again its the uncertainly of it and then when u do get a place can you afford to take it. A friend of ours got a whitgift offer but no bursary so had to turn it down so glad that my DS didn't get an offer in the end everything happens for a reason ....

Hi there!
My son took the Reed's entrance exam last Sunday and I'm nervously awaiting the results. He felt that the maths and VR went well but struggled with English (his weak point) Do you think they look at the whole picture and if they've done well in a couple of subjects but badly in the other they still stand a chance?
He says he felt the interview went well.
We'll see....there were a lot of boys there so a lot of competition.

My DS English isn't great and he got a place so don't panic, I think the interview makes it or breaks it IMO.
Have total sympathy for you this is the horrible but as its the waiting and not knowing , my post woman was not
My friend this time last year I was literally stalking the letter box. How many sat this year ? .

Longsuffering2 my son started at Reed’s this year and has had a super time. The school is really lovely and he’s been given plenty of work, guidance, frequent tests etc - they really are driving academic standards along well. In answer to your question, breakfast, lunch and dinner are all included in the fees and meals are really nice I’ve been told. Match teas are super too - even better for the parents! X
