Why is the sky blue?

PLEASE can anyone tell me? I know about sex, dammit. But when it comes to the sky all I can say, vaguely, is 'because there are blue bits in it'. There's more to it than that, isn't there?

Umm ... popsycal ... tudors were up to 1603 weren't they - whey Elizabeth 1 died and James 1 became King??

Beetroot ... I am a 'Tudors' boffin ... so I don't know that much about the Stuarts but I will do a search for you ...

popsycal · 15/11/2003 21:54

yup - tudors til 1603....then james Vi of scotland became james I of england.....he was a stuart

popsycal · 15/11/2003 21:55

just read the post which ghosty was referring to....1685 was meant to refer to the date that motherinferior wanted.....not the tuodr....richard cromwell was 1685 and he was neither!
sorry for the confusion!

Ghosty · 15/11/2003 22:03

Beetroot ... when does your DS need this work done by? Was he given any books or links to go by ... I ask because I have just done a 'google' and it isn't as easy as I thought ...
I am assuming that your ds has had a bit of background at school?????

popsycal · 15/11/2003 22:06

i goggled for this earlier in the day and there was very little.
the stuart period isnt part of the new qca documentation at key stage two anymore in england so there won't be very much tailored to it

popsycal · 15/11/2003 22:07

googled even!!!!
ROFL
i feel goggled!

popsycal · 15/11/2003 22:18

Beetroot - what about those Horrible Histories books - there's a Slimy Stuarts and a Terrible Tudors

aloha · 16/11/2003 14:48

The Horrible Histories are fantastic. I can't put them down and have learned a lot. I expect children would enjoy them as much as I do!
