Banned From the Elevenplus Forum

Has anybody been banned from the above forum?

I didn't dredge up an old story, I posted on a current thread 15 mins after the previous post, mainly because I felt a false impression was being given of the 11 plus forum, and wanted to correct your mistaken belief that your threads (indeed a whole subforum) had been removed. Usually people are happy to receive information on the education threads. Maybe your post would have been better in AIBU.

Anyway, apology accepted re the swearing. Please don't be upset about me being on here because I read mumsnet regularly, nobody is following you. If you care to check, I have been posting on here under my current name for a year. I can't know exactly what went on between you and the 11plus mods and if you were treated unfairly then you have my sympathies, but it is important to bear in mind that it is easy to misconstrue written comments from people you don't have a history with.

Still not sure in what way I am gloating.

GypsyMay Perhaps I have misconstrued it. Perhaps it's merely unfortunate timings and coincidences.

As you know, I WAS UPSET by this whole ridiculous banning, so perhaps you can understand why I may have misconstrued your comments. Shall we bury the hatchet?

Also,GypsyMay The reason I said you were gloating was because you told me that I had to be logged in to see Rehab - knowing that I couldn't log in because I was banned.

But I'm willing to accept that you weren't gloating, as say that you weren't.

I was under the impression that you had arranged to log in via a friend, see how easy it is to get the wrong end of the stick on these forums!

i shouldn't worry. I made the mistake of suggesting that perhaps failing the eleven plus wasn't the end of the world and cited my husband who failed his back in the 70's and manged to get 3 academic degrees and teach at a University. You would have thought I'd just murdered someone. I was only trying to say that pushing middle class children with years of coaching doesnt always pay off. I know,my parents did just that and I passed, was extremely unhappy and left my Grammar at 14 to go to a Comp where i did well. Eventually i just came off the site as I couldnt cope with all the abuse just for stating the obvious.
