Selling old shoes to perverts on Ebay?

malfoy · 12/05/2009 21:26

Has anybody done it?

Seems like money for old rope to me.

cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ladies-Well-Worn-Shoes-Size-8-Ballet-Flat-Style-w-bow_W0QQitemZ300313558002QQcmdZView ItemQQptZWomensShoes?hash=item300313558002&trksid=p3911.c0.m14&trkparms=72%3A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65% 3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

and cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300312675442

I am tempted. Seems like easy money to me.

work shoes are still at work, got a bit worried about the "extras" that might be expected to go with the shoes

rotflmao at this thread!!!

I recall a similar thread on mn last yr or maybe yr before where we were all challenged to see if we could sell the mankiest pair of our shoes on ebay.

We advertised them and then added the ebay link on mn. Now that thread was funny..! Quite a few mner's sold shoes iir..

It tickles dh,when I moan about money or lack of it he always suggests "get selling shoes" . Don't think I could though...

I remember a thread about this last year as well .

Whats with the "will be well cleaned" comments on all these listings? I take it they aren't actually cleaned as the smell is the whole point of them selling, is it a requirement of listing shoes?

Report
shhhh · 17/05/2009 16:16

saltire... the reason for that disclaimer is to allow the seller to keep"within ebays selling policies". Although we all know what the shoes are being sold on for its against ebays rules BUT I guess the seller and ebay get around it this way...

Laughable really ! I treid to sell my genuine Louis vuitton bag on ebay a few months back and they were so hot about its authenticity and not allowing me to relist it for 30 days etc...YET they seem fine with shoes being sold for silly money to perverts .

I am soooo bookmarking this thread and so going to do it! I have size 8's. Balls i just dropped a load of them off at Oxfam in North London (in fact dear pervs- head yourself there for my well worn sweaty shoes!)

Oooh hang on just thought I guess you would need separate account- but I would also need new paypal account and would want to put a false address and have no return address on there in case the pervy guy came hunting for the owner of the delectable shoes.....

To do what? Look at your feet?

OOOOH

check out my profile - I have a pair of gladiator/ dominatrix heels which I have been contemplating selling ... and I have huge feet (size 8, but more like a 9 really)

Do you reckon a perv would buy them??? for loads of money??

Hi everyone,

Im sorry, i had to sign up and post a response to this thread as im loving the responses. Yes i am one of the guys who buys worn shoes of ebay. I know its a bit strange but I woul like to think i am a normal person (i work as a full time surveyor, i have a wife and a nice home). All i wanted to say is that its not down to the size of the shoe, its more the history and style (pumps, boots, heels etc.). Most men are after the worn/used smell with marks and feet imprints as a bonus. If listed correctly people do pay alot :)

Luke, what does your wife think?

I'm going to dig out some pumps that have foot imprint marks on them!

The smelly old shoes thing is a new one on me. Nowt so queer as folks. But I know someone - an ex teacher in Scotland - who was issued with a 'tawse' (sort of like a cat o'nine tails - leather, for flogging kids) in one of his schools when he was a new teacher.

He put it up for sale on ebay, and apparently they're really coveted! He got, I think, well over £60 for it - he was amazed.

If I am honest, I dont really tell my wife. She knows about my foot fetish but she keeps away for that sort of thing. Lots of blokes who buy shoes tend to keep it quiet.

If anyone would like to sell some im always happy to buy lol

Iam sorry if a have offended anyone.

Ha ha hilarious - decided to try putting on an old pair of slippers and I can't tell whether people are going 'no really' or whether it is the fetish crowd. 14 views in about 2 hours. I sometimes have hardly any views on some of the usual items I put on. Maybe a lesson has been learnt on how to sell effectively on eBay"""

LOL, tazmo, at people going 'no, really?'!

Lukey, if you are for real well done for coming on here and explaining it to us! Where do you manage to hide them if your wife knows nothing about it?

And more importantly Luke, what do you do with them?

Report
lukeyG · 30/12/2012 13:33

lol I am genuine, and I am happy that I have helped. The main thing is photographs and a bit of info on the shoes/boots, foot guys love it. One thing to be careful of is guys asking to see extra pictures , which is fine, but make sure to ask for a pay pal payment up front as some of them try to get a free ride lol. Whenever i ask, i always offer to send a small payment for taking the time to do it :)

Hi 2sugarsandadog, I keep them in the roof as my wife doesnt like going up there very often (i dont have a massive collection and im only really into boots).

Hi MacaroniAndWalnut, i get really shy over this sort of stuff, personally im into the smell and it helps me .. you know. Im sorry i hope i have not offended anyone. To be honest everyone is different and other men will have other uses.

I hope this helps x

So gutted - 132 views and slippers not sold! Had 2 watchers and one guy wanting extra tights and panties. What am I doing wrong? Didn't reply I'm afraid - too shy.

Ha ha lukey - make sure u don't do it at work. Know someone who got caught at work going through sports bags and sniffing trainers and sweaty pants!

Think ill stick to selling baby stuff!
