hi sorry but i have just realised that i put the wrong start bid price for the shoes as i'm selling them for a friend and she said to put start bid of £15 not £5 so sorry but when this listing ends i will have to relist them at the proper start bid, as she paid over £50 for them brand new.
what can i do.

SeaShells I expect she has done it a few times and git away with it then. She should use a buy it now price.

I suggest the op doesn't buys them now anyway, as I doubt it would be a good transaction.

Walk away and block her for bidding on any of your things.

dee24 · 24/10/2007 12:11

She is still lying though. I think its more that point that is annoying. In fact, I think it would be less annoying if she had just said 'I expected more for these so I'm not selling' lol!

SeaShells · 24/10/2007 12:11

She is well within her rights to refuse to sell the shoes. The email requesting an extra £10 before she'll sell is not allowed on ebay though, due to the fact that ebay basically are loosing out on their final value fees.

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 24/10/2007 12:14

Her feedback doesn't say that items were unavailable after purchase, they say she couldn't accept Paypal as per the listing.

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 24/10/2007 12:15

And she hasn't requested an extra £10 at all.

Washersaurus · 24/10/2007 12:19

Oh just pay her the money as per the contract between you both, and then when she doesn't send the shoes, leave her negative feedback and start a dispute resolution thingy against her. She will then have to either refund your payment or send you the shoes...simple as that!

I have had it happen to me before with a pair of jeans.

Beelliesebub · 24/10/2007 12:22

I thought she said she was selling them for a friend and then in her next email she states she would lose money. IMO she's telling great big fat porky's and I think you can report her for seller non performance.

Beelliesebub · 24/10/2007 12:23

I agree with Washersaurus...

dee24 · 24/10/2007 12:43

But she doesn't HAVE to refund your money. Paypal will only place a freeze on her account and its easy enough to open a new one. Happened to me when I bought a jacket, no jacket and £30 down due to 'insufficient funds' in the sellers paypal account
Do not send any money! It looks as though she ain't going to send you then anyway so Def no cash.

LazyLinePUMPKINJane · 24/10/2007 16:13

Don't forget that chances are you will be getting some negative feedback as well.

moljam · 24/10/2007 20:20

why would i get neg feedback?

OP posts:
Beelliesebub · 24/10/2007 20:30

Cos some people are just like that...
I've had someone leave me negative feedback because the postman delivered it to the wrong address

moljam · 24/10/2007 20:34

really!

OP posts:
dee24 · 24/10/2007 20:42

I wouldn't worry too much about it as you have very good feedback as it is, negative feedback is not a huge deal if you do not get it on a regular basis. But yeah some people don't understand what feedback is for, I got a neg as someone said the ring they bought from me was smaller than the picture. It was a bloody close up on the listing, or maybe she just thought I had a very large fat finger lol!!!!

LazyLinePUMPKINJane · 24/10/2007 22:01

You might get one because some people will simply give one in return, regardless of your conduct. Don't sweat it, just leave calm and reasoned feedback and then respond to yours if you get it in a non-shouty way.

dee24 · 24/10/2007 22:04

Agree with below. Never use childish rants/abusive words/ALL CAPITALS (hate it) and respond to any neg feedback in a calm way. People can then tell you are a reasonable person.

moljam · 24/10/2007 22:09

i am too sweet and innocent to be meany especially to people i dont know[innocent emotion]

no seriously-i dont do rude, its not nice or needed.

OP posts:
dee24 · 24/10/2007 22:13

Lol, don't be rude then. A simple 'buyer said wrong start price so no sale, very disappointed'. No rudeness, no nasty remarks but enough to make people wonder.....

Beelliesebub · 25/10/2007 00:03

And then hunt em down!!!! [mission impossible emoticon]
